Christmas Ships Parade
December 1st–17th | Willamette & Columbia Rivers
Every year, Portland and Vancouver residents line the Columbia and Willamette Rivers to watch a fleet of 55 to 60 festively decorated sailboats and yachts parade down the waterfront. These privately owned boats range from 14 to 65 feet long and gather at different locations along the river featuring light displays and inflatable décor.

Portland Gay Men’s Chorus
December 8th-10th | Newmark Theater
Portland Gay Men's Chorus has set out to put on “the gayest holiday concert of all time”. Inspired by classic variety and sketch shows — with a modern twist — enjoy as PGMC presents a joyous and humorous extravaganza filled with holiday cheer. One of Portland’s favorite traditions returns to the Newmark Theatre again this December.

Scan Fair
December 9th-10th | Oregon Convention Center
Scan Fair brings Scandinavia to Portland through traditional food and drink vendors, an entertainment program focused on cultural heritage, games, activities, and crafts, and welcoming local community organizations. This year’s offerings include local vendors and organizations, a kids’ craft area, live entertainment, a Finnish Santa, a Viking ship, and Nordic food and drink, including aquavit and Swedish meatballs.

Peacock Lane
December 15th-31st | SE Peacock Lane
Each house in this quaint SE neighborhood has been decorating for Christmas for decades. Mostly Tudors, the houses are adorned with not only beautiful sparkling lights, but also nativity scenes, rotating Christmas trees, and stunningly life-like replicas of Santa and Frosty. Come see the lights on Peacock Lane, and you’ll find nothing but good, old-fashioned holiday spirit. December 15th, 16th, and 17th are Car-free nights.
