She/Her

Heather’s interest in real estate has been a lifelong passion. She remembers when she was a little girl, as her girlfriends were telling her what their husbands and weddings would be like, she was telling them about the house she would own on a mountain, and the condo she would have in a big city. When she moved to Oregon she fell instantly in love with the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and Portland's quirky vibe. Becoming a realtor seemed like the perfect way to combine the two passions! It wasn't until AFTER she got her license that she realized her Jill-of-all-trades nature was perfectly suited to the job. She couldn't have dreamed up a more fun and engaging career for herself!

Her Superpower: is the ability to enjoy anything and everything! Heather will pretty much say yes to any invitation, because she’s yet to find an activity that she doesn't like. She has 100 hobbies and counting!

Superpower she wishes she had: For her real estate career, teleportation would be incredibly useful, but for sheer pleasure, she'd want the ability to breathe underwater. Heather’s been a certified Scuba diver since age 12, but it sure would be nice to just hop in and leave the tanks behind!

Her perfect Portland day: would (of course) have to start with a latte! Good Coffee, off of Division St, is a great place if you happen to be a coffee snob like her. If she’s feeling hungry, she would head down to Henry Higgins bagels down in Foster Powell, and stop in at Red Castle Games to check out any new D&D stock. Then, if the weather is dry, she'd head to the Montavilla farmers' market to pick up some local produce to throw on the grill later. If it's rainy and cold, she'd take in a matinee then head to the Academy Theater if she’s feeling nostalgic, or Studio One if she fancies an afternoon cocktail. After that, it's about time for a nice brisk walk up to the top of Mt Tabor Park (stopping in at The Dog House PDX, a food cart at the pod on 50th and Division, to grab a picnic dinner), after which she would watch the sun set behind the city and the West Hills from one of the park benches. Now that it's dark, she’s off to Quarterworld for some arcade action! Once my quarters run out, she’d head home for some snuggle time with her wife and the kitties on the catio in my backyard oasis before bedtime.

Favorite moment in real estate: It would be impossible to pick a favorite moment, but Heather loves everything about working with first time buyers. She enjoys their excitement and enthusiasm in the beginning when they're looking at homes, how interested they are in all the parts and pieces as she points them out and explain their purposes. She loves teaching them about the process, walking them through it step-by-step, experiencing the intensity of their emotions when they write their first offer, attending their first inspection, and signing their closing documents. And of course, she LOVES handing them the keys to their very first home!

Favorite neighborhood, and why? There are SO many amazing neighborhoods in Portland, and that's probably why Heather loves her own South Tabor so much. South Tabor is a little-known neighborhood, because it really doesn't contain much in the way of commercial or retail space. BUT it is bordered by Richmond, Mt Tabor, Montavilla, Lents, and Foster Powell, so it gives easy access to many of Portland's coolest districts!
