It’s been nearly 20 years since Elizabeth moved to Portland, and her love for the city continues to grow. Sharing that enthusiasm while helping buyers and sellers with maximum ease and enjoyment is what helps Elizabeth stand out as a real estate agent who’s exceptionally invested in great outcomes for her clients. The process can be stressful, but the rewards are profound, and the opportunity to build community along the way is so rewarding.
Elizabeth is tenacious with clients, and there for them long past close. She’s a strategist who understands the dynamics of the local market, a truth-teller, and a loyal advisor who cheers her clients on and empowers them with the insight they need to make informed decisions. She’s adept at making an offer stand out. Part of that is being a strong and level-headed communicator and negotiator. Elizabeth is also attuned to what it takes to make a property stand out, and everything she does for her sellers is with the objective of maximizing the return on their investment.
In her former life, Elizabeth founded Eb & Bean, opening three Portland shops that are still a destination for made-from-scratch organic froyo and toppings. It was a fun and often challenging experience in leadership and hospitality, and great preparation for her role in real estate as a problem solver and project manager.
Elizabeth grew up near D.C., spent high school in New Hampshire, went to college in Madison, WI, and lived in the Bay Area for several years before relocating to Portland. She lives with her family in NE Portland, and when not working with clients, she’s cooking, seeing lots of live music, spending time at the Forest Service cabin she shares with friends in Washington, and volunteering in a leadership role with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America.
Her ideal adventure for an urban Portland day: A perfect day in Portland would revolve around food and family. She’d start with coffee at J. Vein and a pastry from Bakeshop, both on NE Sandy. Next, a bike ride along the Alameda and Rose City ridges, or maybe frisbee time at a nearby park with Charlie, her Boston Terrier. Then it’s lunch at Sorbu on NE 42nd, her favorite food cart meal in Portland. A hike followed by excellent pizza is a classic Portland combo: a visit to Forest Park and Scottie’s on NW 21st!
Her superpower: Empathy.
Superpower she wishes she had: The ability to be in two places at once.
Favorite moment/s in real estate: Key day for her first-ever home. That’s just a feeling you never forget, and helping other people experience it is one of the best parts of the job.
Favorite Portland neighborhood, and why? This is such a tough question, in part because she’s fallen in love with lots of neighborhoods over the years as a business owner in Irvington, Richmond, and NW, and as a realtor exploring the Portland Metro area. But Mt Tabor is a favorite among favorites, full of reminders of what makes Portland so lovable: free access to nature so close to our city center, charming homes, and a vibrant community of people and businesses. Happy hour at Bellwether Bar after a Tabor hike is a dream combo!
